  • What is a VPS?

    A VPS or Virtual Private Server is a virtual machine that runs on a physical server. That server is split up into completely separate virtual machines, which you as the owner of such a digital piece of server can manage and reach through the cloud. This gives you full control over your machine. 

  • What is self-managed VPS hosting?

    Self-managed VPS hosting means you manage your virtual server all by yourself. This gives you more options when choosing what operating systems and applications to use. It also gives you greater flexibility in using your server. For example, you can setup a private network with multiple VPS machines.

  • What are the advantages of VPS hosting?

    With a virtual server you don't suffer the cost of purchase and maintenance of physical servers, but you do profit from our redundant network and the many features with which you can customise your VPS. You can also change the composition of your VPS, as well as scale up and down on the fly. 

  • What is the difference between shared & VPS hosting?

    Users of shared hosting have to share a lot if not all resources of the server hosting their websites or application. There's no guaranteed, constant performance. Shared hosting also doesn't offer full control over the server. Contrary to virtual server hosting, where users have full control and can make changes to the configuration of their own environment.

  • When would I go from shared hosting to VPS hosting?

    A Virtual Private Server is ideal for users that want more control over their hosting environment. Maybe you want to host more websites once your traffic increases, or you simply need a different setup to have everything work effectively. A VPS gives you the flexibility and control to change specifications like vCPU, RAM and disk space quickly.

  • Can I upgrade or downgrade my VPS?

    Yes, you can always upgrade your VPS to a higher tier (V1 t/m V5). After upgrading your VPS will reboot. Downgrading is possible down to V2. That way we can guarantee your VPS will continue to run with the correct specifications. Do you want to switch things up? You can do so easily through your control panel!
