Frequently asked questions

  • Can I upgrade to a larger VPS package later on?

    Yes, you can upgrade at any time through the Control Panel. The transition is seamless and you automatically pay pro rata for the remaining period. You can also outfit your VPS with additional RAM, CPU cores, bandwidth and disk space.

  • Do I pay for app usage?

    Most apps in the marketplace are open source and free to use. The occasional app might have their own subscription model or a paid version, in which case this will be clearly stated on the product page for that app. Otherwise, you only pay for the VPS itself. When an app connects to an external LLM API (like with OpenAI or Anthropic), usage cost will be charged directly, not through TransIP.

  • Where is my data stored?

    All applications run fully on your VPS, hosted on European infrastructure. Your conversations, files and workflows remain on your server. If you use an external LLM API (like with OpenAI or Anthropic), prompts sent to that provider are subject to their terms and conditions. With OpenClaw and n8n, these external API calls are optional.

  • Can I run multiple apps on a single VPS?

    Yes, as long as your VPS has sufficient resources. For the combination of Open WebUI + Ollama with n8n, we recommend at least a V4 or V5 package (8+ GB RAM) for optimal performance.
