Starting October 28, 2025, we will gradually introduce email verification for logging into TransIP accounts. This email verification only applies to accounts where 2FA is not enabled.
Because we noticed an increase in both the number and sophistication of phishing attacks carried out in our name, we decided to add this extra security step for accounts. With this measure, we aim to better protect your services and data from such attacks.
What does email verification mean for my account?
Once email verification is active on your account, an email will be sent to the primary and backup email addresses of your TransIP account whenever you log in. This email contains a verification code that you’ll need to enter before you can access the control panel.
After entering the code, a cookie will be placed in your browser, which means you won’t need to enter a new code for 35 days in that browser. If you log in again within those 35 days, the cookie is extended by another 35 days. On new devices, or in a different browser on the same device, you will need to enter a new verification code.
- Email verification only applies to accounts that do not use 2FA.
- The verification code is invalidated when you log out.
- The verification code is valid for 15 minutes.
I did not receive a verification code
When you are logged in but haven’t received a verification code, try the following:
- Check if you are using the correct email address.
- Check your spam messages.
- Log out and log back in — this will send a new verification code.
