YMost domain names can be transferred using an authorization code. This code is also known as a ‘token’, ‘EPP code’ or simply a 'transfer code'.
When transferring most domain names away, you need to provide the authorization code to the new provider.
You can find the authorization code (also called the EPP code or token) for all your domains as follows:
Step 1
Log into the control panel, go to 'Domains' and click the name of your domain.
Step 2
Scroll all the way down. Behind 'Authorization code' your code can be found, but for security reasons this will be displayed as •••••••. Click on the 'Eye'-icon to display the authorization code.
The transfer procedure may differ per provider. If you're unclear on where to use the transfer code we recommend contacting the new provider.
If the information page does not contain an ‘Authorization code’ field, the domain does not use an authorization code and a different transfer procedure applies. In that case, we recommend contacting our support department via the ‘Contact’ button in your control panel.
