At TransIP, you have been able to use the DirectAdmin Standard, Lite, and Professional Plus licenses for your VPS since mid-August 2026. When ordering a DirectAdmin VPS, you can select which type of license you wish to use. The differences between the Standard, Lite, and Professional Plus licenses can be found in the overview below, or on the DirectAdmin website.
DirectAdmin does not provide technical support for the Personal Plus license.
Can I also adjust the DirectAdmin license of my existing VPS?
It is indeed possible to adjust your DirectAdmin license as needed from the TransIP control panel via the ‘Upgrade DirectAdmin’ and ‘Downgrade DirectAdmin’ buttons.
Step 1
Log in to the classic TransIP control panel and select your DirectAdmin VPS.
Step 2
Click on ‘Upgrade DirectAdmin’ or ‘Downgrade DirectAdmin’ depending on whether you want to upgrade or downgrade your DirectAdmin license.
Step 3
Confirm the upgrade/downgrade of your license to the next tier via ‘Confirm’, or click on ‘More options’ to choose a different license type.
When you click on ‘Confirm’, the license will be adjusted immediately.
