Opening files in Linux

In Linux, everything is a file if you work from command-line. Whether it is a configuration file, a program, or a text file. You can edit them all with Vi or Nano, the most used text editors in Linux.

A lot of Linux software uses the same key combinations as Vi for commands. Therefore, we recommend that you learn how to use Vi as it will make managing your entire Linux VPS easier. In the following articles, we explain the basics of how these text editors work:
