I want to start sending and receiving email with my own domain

If you have your own domain name you can use an Email Only Package or a Web Hosting Package to make an email address that is uniquely yours. How about or a unique email address like

In front of the @ sign you can fill in a self-chosen start of your email address. The domain name you are using will always come after the @ sign.

In this article we will explain how you can create an email address using your own domain name.

We will first explain the differences between the packages you can use to create email addresses. Then we explain how you can order these packages on a domain and finally, we will indicate how to create an email address.

Email Only Package

If you only want to be able to send emails from your own domain name the Email Only Package is ideally suited for your needs. Contrary to a Web Hosting Package an Email Only Package does not include web space on which to host a website.

The Email Only Package is specifically intended to link email addresses to your domain name. With this package you will have access to 3 email boxes, with which you can create email addresses, email groups and email forwards. In addition, Email Only also offers the possibility to forward your domain to another address.

Web Hosting Package

If you want to be able to create more than 3 email boxes, you can choose to use one of our Web Hosting Packages. You will be granted access to 5 (Webhosting S), 50 (Webhosting L) or an unlimited amount of email addresses (Webhosting XL). In addition, with a web hosting package you can also place your own website on your domain name.

Ordering a package

When you've found the package you want to use, you will need a domain name to link the package with.

I do not have a domain name yet

If you do not have a domain name yet, please visit the Email Only or the Web Hosting Packages product pages first. Here you will find comprehensive information about the relevant package and the possibility to immediately select a package.

Step 1

As soon as you found the desired package, click on ‘Choose’ below it.


Step 2

On the next page you will immediately be able to request your domain name. When you have chosen your desired domain name, click on ‘Check’.

If the domain is available, you can directly click on ‘Choose’. 

If the domain is unavailable, it will display ‘Transfer’. This means that the domain was previously registered by another party. You can now also click on ‘Available’ to see suggestions for domain names that are similar to yours.

In the example below, we have entered the domain Because this domain is already registered, we click on ‘Available’ to see alternative suggestions.

You can also choose to enter a new domain name. Click on ‘Check’ again to see if your domain name is available. 

Once you have chosen an available domain, click on ‘Choose’.

Step 3

You will now see an overview of your chosen products. You can adjust the payment method of your account here. Click on ‘Order’ to, you guessed it, settle your order.

Your order will then be processed immediately. Now go to your Control Panel, in here your domain name and the associated package will become visible and active as soon as possible.

Now continue to ‘Creating an email address’ to see how you create an email address.

I already have a domain name

If you already own a domain name, you can purchase an Email Only or Web Hosting Package directly via your control panel. 

Step 1

In your control panel, go to the ‘Domains & Hosting’ tab and tick your domain name on the left. Now click on ‘Order / Upgrade’.

On the next screen, select the desired package and click ‘Order’ below it to continue.

To create an e-mail address, you can choose from the E-mail Only package or one of the web hosting packages.

Step 3

On the next screen you will see an overview of your chosen product. Here you can view your payment method and adjust it if necessary. Click on ‘Pay’ to complete the order.

Your order will then be processed immediately. Now go back to the ‘Domains & Hosting’ tab and look for your domain name. The chosen package will become visible and active here as soon as possible.

Now continue to ‘Creating an email address’ to see how you create an email address.

Creating an email address

As soon as you have selected a package, you can start creating email addresses in your control panel. From here, go to 'Domains & Hosting' and click on the domain name with the package on it (don't tick the box).

Click on the cog wheel next to 'Your email'. From here you will be able to create new Mailboxes, new Mailforwards or go directly to our webmail client. Please note that you will need to create a Mailbox before you can use the webmail client.
