You may be hosting a resource intense application on your BladeVPS and are looking for a way to upgrade to a PerformanceVPS.
Converting a VPS to a PerformanceVPS (or vice versa) is not directly possible: this is because the VPS and PerformanceVPS platform is divided into clusters. It is not (yet) possible to exchange IP addresses between these clusters.
You can however clone a VPS to a PerformanceVPS or restore a snapshot of your VPS on a PerformanceVPS (or vice versa). Please note if you use either of these options:
- In order to clone a (Performance)VPS or restore a snapshot. The new PerformanceVPS must have a disk of equal or larger size as the original BladeVPS. You can add an SSD add-on to a (Performance)VPS to make sure both disk sizes match. Please note that SSD add-ons can only be canceled in combination with their (Performance)VPS.
- Don't forget to update your IP configuration on the PerformanceVPS if you use a static configuration
