The email settings at TransIP

After creating an email address with one of our Web Hosting or Email Only services, you can use the information in this article to set it up in various email clients.

A detailed explanation for individual email clients can be found in the article 'Set up your email address'.

Take note: When configuring your email address in an email client, you will be asked to choose a protocol (IMAP or POP3) for incoming email.

 

We recommend reading the article 'The difference between POP3 and IMAP' before choosing a protocol.


Settings for incoming email (IMAP)

  • Server imap.transip.email
  • Port: 993
  • SSL Enabled
  • Username: Your email address
  • Password: The password you set for this email address

Settings for incoming email (POP3)

  • Server pop3.transip.email
  • Port: 995
  • SSL Enabled
  • Username: Your email address
  • Password: The password you set for this email address

Settings for outgoing email (SMTP)

  • Server smtp.transip.email
  • Port: 465
  • SSL Enabled
  • Username: Your email address
  • Password: The password you set for this email address
